ICHTHYS – LNG Project

This LNG Project is a Joint Venture between a group of companies. The Ichthys Gas field is located in the Browse Basin approximately 200km offshore of the northwest of Australia.

The gas will be transported from the central processing facility through a subsea pipeline more than 885 kilometres to the onshore LNG processing plant where it will be cooled to below -165°C, by which time the gas has become a liquid. The LNG will then be transferred to tankers for delivery to market.
