MDI-based binders for particle board

One of the newer applications for Polymeric MDI has been in replacing urea-formaldehyde, phenol-formaldehyde and melamine formaldehyde resins in the manufacture of reconstituted wood products. The use of MDI-based products provides advantages in both the manufacturing process and in the quality of the end product.

Particle board bound with MDI has high strength, improved weather resistance and dimensional stability. MDI bound boards are also free from objectionable or even toxic odours.
